The Environmental Protection Act (415 ILCS 5) is Illinois’ primary statute for restoring, protecting, and enhancing the environment.
Title 35 of the Illinois Administrative Code includes the Board’s procedural rules on how to initiate and participate in Board proceedings (Subtitle A), as well as the Board’s substantive pollution control requirements (Subtitles B through O).
Title 2 of the Illinois Administrative Code includes the Board’s rules explaining how the Board is organized and how to obtain information from the Board under the Freedom of Information Act.
