On July 12, 2012, the Board adopted amendments to the Board’s solid waste and special waste
hauling regulations.

- The amendments are intended to implement Public Act 97-220, which includes provisions
amending Sections 21 and 22.2(1) and (1-5) of the Environmental Protection Act to remove
Illinois from the Uniform State Hazardous Material Transportation Registration and Permit
Program (Uniform Program).
- The Board received no public comments on its first-notice proposal.
