July 12, 2012 - On July 12, 2012, the Board adopted amendments to the Board’s solid waste and special waste hauling regulations. On October 28, 2011, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) filed the proposal, which was docketed as In the Matter of: Proposed Amendments to Nonhazardous Special Waste Hauling and the Uniform Program: (35 Ill. Adm. Code 809), (R12-13).

The amendments are intended to implement Public Act 97-220, which includes provisions
amending Sections 21 and 22.2(1) and (1-5) of the Environmental Protection Act to removeIllinois from the Uniform State Hazardous Material Transportation Registration and PermitProgram (Uniform Program).
The Board received no public comments on its first-notice proposal.
