Board Adopts First-Notice Proposal Amendments in Subdocket Addressing the Volatile Organic Material Emissions Control Regulations | |
June 16, 2011 - On June 16, 2011, the Illinois Pollution Control Board proposed for second-notice review by the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR) amendments to its air pollution regulations governing volatile organic material emissions (VOM). The rulemaking proposal is docketed as In the Matter of: Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) for Volatile Organic Material Emissions From Group II and Group IV Consumer & Commercial Products: Proposed Amendments to 35 Ill. Adm. Code 211, 218, and 219 (R11-23). The proposed rulemaking would amend recently-promulgated regulations controlling the emission of VOM from a number of categories of consumer and commercial products. The IEPA proposed the amendments to these regulations in response to comments by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. | |
