Pollution Control Board Adopts for First Notice a Proposal to Amend the Compliance Date for Controlling Nitrogen Oxide Emissions
April 7, 2011 - On April 7, 2011, the Illinois Pollution Control Board adopted for first notice a proposal to modify the date of compliance with the requirements of various Subparts of 35 Ill. Adm. Code Part 217, Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) Emissions. The rulemaking, In the Matter of: Amendments to 35 Ill. Adm. Code 217, Nitrogen Oxides Emissions, (R11-24), was filed by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) on April 4, 2011. The Board did not comment on the proposal’s substantive merits. Additionally, the Board denied a motion for expedited review.
