August 18, 2011 - The Board, on August 18, 2011, adopted second-notice proposed amendments to the Board’s air quality standards rules for “Hospital/Medical/Infectious Waste Incinerators” (HMIWI). The rulemaking is docketed as In the Matter of: Amendments to 35 Ill. Adm. Code Part 229: Hospital/Medical/Infectious Waste Incinerators (R11-20). The Board will make every effort to submit the proposed rules to the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR) to allow for JCAR review at its September meeting, and Board adoption of final rules soon thereafter.
