Board Adopts Updates to Air Rules
October 20, 2011 - On October 20, 2011, the Board adopted a final opinion and order in R9-19, In the Matter of: Air Quality Standards Clean-Up: Amendments to 35 Ill. Adm. Code Part 243. The rulemaking amends Part 243 of the Board’s regulations to reflect updated federal air quality standards for ozone, particulate matter, and lead. The amendments also include technical corrections to Parts 217 and 223. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency filed the original rulemaking proposal on December 1, 2008.
