Installation and Measurement Location
1.1 Gas and Mercury Monitors Following the procedures in Section 8.1.1 of Performance Specification 2 in Appendix B to 40 CFR 60, incorporated by reference in Section 225.140, install the pollutant concentration monitor or monitoring system at a location where the pollutant concentration and emission rate measurements are directly representative of the total emissions from the affected unit.
Such a location is one that provides an average velocity of the flue gas flow over the
stack or duct cross section and is representative of the pollutant concentration monitor location.
