Dear Illinois Pollution Control Board : Mercury pollution from Illinois coal plants is a danger to our health and our environment .
  • Please make sure
Illinois' mercury Rule:
  • Requires coal plants to reduce their mercury pollution by 90 percent by 2009
  • Does not allow for"pollution trading" schemes that would let some polluters buy the way out of
cleaning up
  • Does not contain loopholes that would let some coal plants avoid installing the best available
pollution controls .
  • We should do everything we can to protect our children and all of us from the health...
