On April 18, 1980 the Environmental Protection Agency fileda motion to dismiss the variance petition filed April 3, 1980 bythe Village of Sauget (Sauget), which requests a variance fromRules 601(c) (1) and (2) of Chapter 3: Water Pollution regardingcombined sewer overflows.
Sauget recognizes the need for permanent relief
and states that it will file a regulatory proposal within fourmonths, but that a variance is needed to allow planning to proceedtowards submission of a permit application in November 1980.
The petition is dismissed
