The proposed 50,000 gpd waste treatment facility will discharge
to an unnamed tributary of Gun Creek which drains to Rend Lake,some 2.2 miles away.
The Petition gives the average phosphorus concentration in
Rend Lake as 0.07 - 0.08 mg/i based upon US.
The Agency feels
that aquatic biota in the stream will transform some of the solublephosphorus to organic phosphorus in biomass and then eventually intothe stream sediments.
This Opinion constitutes the Board’s findings of fact and
conclusions of law.
