Recognized Accrediting Body and certifies environmental testing laboratories for chemical
analyses done not only under the SDWA but also the CWA and RCRA.
- Until recently, radiochemistry certification was done by the Illinois Emergency
Management Agency (IEMA) and USEPA Region V.
- IEMA no longer offers certification for
radiochemistry, and USEPA Region V has significantly reduced its certification
program.
