On March 6, 2014, the Board adopted a second-notice opinion and order to amend the Illinois
Primary Drinking Water Standards relating to certification of laboratories analyzing drinking
water samples.
- Currently, laboratories used must be certified and approved either by the USPEA or the Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA).
