- Board Adopts Second Notice Proposal to Amend Board’s CAFO Regulations
On April 17, 2014, the Illinois Pollution Control Board adopted a second-notice opinion and
order to amend Parts 501, 502, and 504 of the Board’s agriculture related water pollution
regulations and will submit them to the Joint Committee on Administrate Rules (JCAR) for
review.
- The IEPA also sought to establish state technical standards required
by the federal rule.
- The second-notice proposal adopts language suggested by the IEPA to
address facilities designated as a CAFO.
