- BOARD ADOPTS AMENDMENTS TO NOISE REGULATIONS
On September 4, 2003, the Illinois Pollution Control Board adopted a final opinion and
order in the rulemaking entitled Noise Rule Update: Amendments to 35 Ill.
- Specifically, this rulemaking updates definitions and sound measurement procedures
contained in 35 Ill.
- The Board has also repealed Part 903 as legislative changes have exempted organized
sporting events including motor racing facilities from the Boards noise regulations.
