Board Proposes First Notice Amendments to Rules on Sulfur Limitations, Nitrogen Oxides Emissions, and Control of Emissions from Large Combustion Sources
On May 7, 2015, the Board adopted an opinion and order proposing amendments to the Board’s air pollution regulations for first-notice publication in the Illinois Register. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency filed the amendments generally proposing to control emissions of sulfur dioxide in and around areas designated as nonattainment with respect to the 2010 sulfur dioxide National Ambient Air Quality Standard. The Agency’s proposal will amend 35 Ill. Adm. Code 214, 217, and 225. The Board proceeded to first notice without review of the merits.
