Late last week, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency filed
emergency rules related to the storage, handling and transportation of coal and petcoke that are scheduled to bheard by the Illinois Pollution Control Board on Thursday, January 23.
These are major rule changes that will impose significant new costs on Illinois
employers that could result in the loss of hundreds of jobs.
Given this scientific finding, we cannot understand how the EPA’s proposal rises to the level of a
