I believe this is critical for my health and
the health and environment of all of Illinois.
I hope you will
reject the company’s request for a variance and instead hold thecompany to the standard passed in 2006 and the agreement it made toreduce mercury pollution.
The state upheld its side of the deal, but now Ameren is trying to
stall cleaning up its coal plants like it promised to.
Ameren committed to a schedule for reducing its S02 and NOx
pollution in return for more time to make its mercury pollutionreductions.
