By the August 4, 2006 proposal for public comment, the Board extended the due date
until October 30, 2006.
USEPA intends
that the amendments will decrease the regulatory burden on industrial users withoutadverse effects on environmental protection and that the amendments will allow a greaterfocus of oversight resources on industrial users that have the greatest potential to affectpublicly owned treatment works (POTW) operations.
