Specifically, Blouin alleges that the noise comes from semi-trailers entering and
exiting the facility, air brakes, trailers being connected and disconnected, loud speakers, movingequipment, and diesel engines.
In its answer, TNT denies that it
has violated the numeric noise standards.
The Board notes that five other citizen complaints against TNT have been filed recently
with the Board, each alleging that noise from the various trucking activities at the Monee facilityviolates the same numeric noise provisions Blouin alleges.
