With a brief exception from late 1978 to early
1979, I have been employed by the Agency since 1971 in a varietyof positions including manager of the Bureau of Land PermitSection from 1983 through 1993.
That purpose is to establish procedures
for investigation and remediation at sites where there is arelease, threatened release, or suspected release of hazardoussubstances, pesticides, or petroleum and for the review andapproval of those activities.
An example of formal federal authorization or approval for the
use of these procedures would be a Memorandum of Agreement...
