The refinery draws influent from and discharges effluent to the Chicago Sanitary and
Ship Canal (Canal) which is a tributary to the Illinois River. The current site-specific rule will terminate on December 31, 1999. As noted, JCAR considered thisrulemaking at its October 20, 1998 meeting and voted no objection.
