The City of Freeport has petitioned for a variance from Rule5.07(b) of the Rules and Regulations for Refuse Disposal Sites andFacilities, in order to be allowed until June 1, 1973 to apply finalcover to the surface area of a previously used landfill site.
The City also states
that the present winter weather conditions may impede the program ifimmediate cover is required.
We see no reason to deny the City the extra month
that it seeks in this respect and accordingly, grant the petition asrequeste...
