ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCYMR.
  • The ovens have a rated capacity of 18 tons of coal
per charge which will produce approximately 13 tons of coke.
  • After the oven is charged with coal, the volatile
products liberated in the coking process are carried offthrough a gas collecting system at the top of the oven.
  • Petitioner has
committed himself to building a coke side shed, with whateverparticulate removal equipment may be required.
  • The Petitioner’s melt shop facilities consist of four
open-hearth furnaces and three electric arc furnaces.
