On June 19, 1981 the City of Assumption filed a petitionfor variance from the 4 00/100 ml fecal coliform limitationof Rule 405 of Chapter 3: Water Pollution.
There are no
disinfection facilities.
However, the City is currently in the
Construction Grants Program and has received a Step 2—3 grantfor upgrading the facilities.
Furthermore, a granting of variance is argued to simply
