- Board Adopts a Registration Program for Small Sources of Air Emissions On December 1, 2011, the Board adopted amendments to Part 201 of its air pollution regulations, which address permits and general provisions. - Public Act 97-0095, effective July 12, 2011, includes a new Section 9.14 of the Environmental Protection Act providing for adoption of ROSS provisions. - The IEPA projects that, based on the criteria included in its proposal, “an estimated 3,230 small emission sources, or roughly 50% of the currently permitted emission sources, will no longer have direct permitting obligations to the Illinois EPA.” The IEPA proposal was docketed as In the Matter of: Registration of Smaller Sou...
