89-431 added Title XVII to the Environmental Protection Act, and is intended to
achieve five objectives.
Although this approach is premised upon the statutory mandates in the Brownfield
legislation, it is proposed to be applicable across all types of remediation programs under theEnvironmental Protection Act, including not only the site remdiation program (also known asBrownfields), but also the Underground Storage Tank (UST) and Resource Conservation andRecovery Act (RCRA) programs.
