    Ouality
    Standard for Boron Discharges
to Edwards River and Mud Creek: 35 Ill. Adm.
    Code

    Dear Acting Chairman Girard:
    Thank
    you for
    your February 19, 2009
letter requesting the Department of Commerce and
Economic Opportunity (Department) to conduct an economic impact
    study
    concerning the
    City of Galva’
    s
proposed rulemaking seeking a site specific water quality standard for
    Boron discharges to Edwards River
    and Mud Creek.
    The Department has reviewed
the Board’s request for an Economic Impact Study for
    this
    proposal. In light
    of continued fiscal constraints,
the Department has decided not to conduct a study of
    the
    economic impact
of the above referenced rulemaking proposal.
Thank you for soliciting the Department’s input in this matter.
    Sincerely,
    ()ackLaj
