Illinois Pollution Control Board

Case#08-25

We, as interested grandparents, are asking your Board to

remember that PDC's toxic waste landfill sits atop the aquifer from which most

of Peoria area's water is pumped,

the only one

nationally

still operating in such

a

hazardous

location. And --Peorians must breath this air.

Peoria's medical community has begun questioning the possible

health effects. Our grandson passed away one year ago at the age of 17, from

an incurable brain tumor,

He lived since he was

a

baby in the vicinity of

another

local landfill.

This possibility, the effects of landfills on children's health is

certainly worth considering in your deliberations.
