REQUEST TO HEARING OFFICER FOR STATUS
NOW COMES Complainant, PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, and requests that
the
Haring Officer set a early phone status in this Matter, for the purpose of setting a date for
hearing on remedy.
In support thereof, Complainant states, as follows:
1.
On May 17,2007, the Board granted the State's Renewed Motion to Set Hearing,
and directed that the hearing officer proceed expeditiously to hearing with Respondents
Community Landfill Co. and the City of Morris.
2.
Complainant requests that the Hearing Officer begin this process as soon as
possible, and notes that setting earlier hearing dates has required several phone conferences.
complainant also advises the Hearing Officer that the Parties will be on trial October 29-3 1 in
the Circuit Court of
Grundy County on a separate environmental matter. It will be in the interest
of all parties to proceed to hearing in this case as soon as can be scheduled, to avoid conflicting
with the Circuit Court case.

Complainant believes that hearing on the sole issue of remedy can be
accomplished in two days.

Status in this matter is now set for June 21,2007. The State requests that an
earlier hearing be scheduled to select hearing dates.
5.
The undersigned has conferred with counsel for the Respondents, who are
available on Thursday, May 3
