    (Permit Appeal - Water)
ORDER OF THE BOARD (by G.T. Girard):
On December 7, 2006, the Board, at the parties’ request, extended until
February 12, 2007, the time period within which the City of Joliet (City) may appeal an
October 5, 2006 determination of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Agency).
    See
    415 ILCS 5/40 (a)(1) (2004); 35 Ill. Adm. Code 105.206. The Agency issued a permit, subject to
conditions, governing the land application of anaerobically digested sewage sludge to
agricultural land. The City objects to the radium limits in special condition 2. The City
generates the sludge at the Joliet East, Joliet West, and Aux Sable sewage treatment plants in
Joliet, Will County. Because the City failed to timely file an appeal, the Board dismisses this
    case and closes the docket.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control Board, certify that the Board
adopted the above order on March 1, 2007, by a vote of 4-0.
    Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk
    Illinois Pollution Control Board
