We fully support Peoria County Board's decision to close the landfill FOREVER

. As an

engineer for Caterpillar, I know the importance of having adequate data to support a

particular decision

. Simply put, I have not seen the data that are currently available to

convince me that the toxic chemicals / wastes in the landfill will not pose a long-term

threat to the well-being of the Peoria and nearby communities

. Due to the seriousness of

the situation if something does go wrong

(i.e.,

contamination of our water supply,

poisoning of the air, etc

.), how can anyone feel comfortable in supporting such high risk

proposal? Since the stakes are so high, let's not gamble the future of Peoria for a modest

gain in revenue! PLEASE CLOSE THE LANDFILL
