TA SHEET #2
NOW COMES Proponent, the National Solid Wastes Management Association
-
Midwest Region ("NSWMA") by and through its attorneys, Sorling, Northrup, Hanna, Cullen
&
Cochran, Ltd., Charles J. Northrup, of counsel, and pursuant to, in part, the Illinois Pollution
Control Board's August
17,2006 Order, hereby submits an Elrata Sheet with respect to a portion
of the proposed rule amendments.
1.
On July 27, 2006, the NSWMA filed its
66Proposal to Amend Certain Pollution
Control Board Regulations Related to Solid Waste Management Facilities." These proposed
amendments related to certain requirements at
3 5 111.Adm. Code 8 10 and 8 1 1. On August 17,
2006, the Board accepted the Proposal for hearing.
2.
On January 16,
2007, the NSWMA filed its "Supplemental Information and
Errata Sheet."
3.
Subsequent to the filing of the Errata Sheet, the Illinois Environmental Protection
Agency identified what it believed was a typographical error in the list of
leachate monitoring
parameters set out in new "81 1 .Appendix C" According to the Illinois EPA, the list
of leachate
monitoring parameters should have included "Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) mg/lm and that the
acronym for Total Suspended Solids was incorrectly identified as "(TDS)" when it should have
{SO53255 1.1 1/25/2007 CJN BLF)

been "(TSS)". The NSWMA concurs with the corrections proposed by the Illinois EPA and
therefore proposes that the Board consider the list of
leachate monitoring parameters as corrected
as if originally included in the initial Proposal. The revised list of
leachate monitoring
parameters is attached to this filing as an Errata Sheet #2 (See Exhibit 1).
Respectfully submitted,
NATIONAL SOLID WASTES MANAGEMENT
ASSOCIATION
