HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On July 13, 2006, a telephonic status conference was held. Respondent Dupage
County did not appear. Complainant represented that it intends to continue settlement
discussions once the consultant’s report is finalized. The respondents represented that
they may file motions regarding the amended complaint filed June 29, 2006. At this
time, the parties felt it was premature to set a discovery schedule. A proposed discovery
schedule may be discussed at the next telephonic status conference if needed. The
hearing officer directed the parties to file their appearances if they have not done so.
The parties or their legal representatives are directed to participate in a telephonic
status conference with the hearing officer on September 21, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. The
telephonic status conference must be initiated by the complainant, but each party is
nonetheless responsible for its own appearance. The complainant represented that it will
notify the parties and the hearing officer of a call-in number prior to the next telephonic
status conference. At the status conference, the parties must be prepared to discuss the
status of the above-captioned matter and their readiness for hearing.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
