HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On June 8, 2006, a telephonic status conference was held. Respondents River
East LLC, Chicago Dock and Canal Trust and Chicago Dock and Canal Company (River
East) did not appear. It is noted that on April 5, 2006, the hearing officer granted the
attorney representing River East motion to withdraw, and reminded River East that it
must be represented by an attorney pursuant to 35 Ill. Adm. Code 101.400 (a) (2). River
East has also failed to appear at the scheduled May 3, 2006, telephonic status conference.
River East is directed to retain an attorney and have an appearance on file on or before
June 30, 2006.

At the June 8, 2006 status conference, the parties that did appear represented that
discovery is ongoing in the above-captioned matter as well as the related federal court
matter.
The parties or their legal representatives are directed to participate in a telephonic
status conference with the hearing officer on August 3, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. The
telephonic status onference must be initiated by the complainants but each party is
nonetheless responsible its own appearance. At the status conference, the parties must be
prepared to discuss the status of the above-captioned matter and their readiness for
hearing.
