    HEARING OFFICER ORDER
     
    On May 30, 2006, petitioner and respondent United States Steel Corporation (US
    Steel) contacted the hearing officer. Petitioner requested a one-week extension of time to
    file its response to the motion to dismiss. Respondent US Steel did not object. No one
    from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has filed an appearance.
    Accordingly, the request is granted. Petitioner’s response is due by June 16, 2006.
     
    The parties are reminded to participate in a telephone status conference with the
    hearing officer at 9:30 a.m. on June 27, 2006. The status conference shall be initiated by
    the petitioner.
     
    The statutory decision deadline is currently August 17, 2006, although US Steel
    has agreed to file a waiver to December 7, 2006, within the next seven days.
