Attn: Mercury Rule Docket
100 W . Randolph, Suite 11-500
Chicago, IL 60601
Dear Members of the Illinois Pollution Control Board,
I urge you to accept the Governor's proposal of strong controls that would
cut coal plant mercury pollution by 90% by 2009 . Every waterway in
Illinois now carries a health warning for mercury contamination
. Illinois can
address this problem now and show America how requiring cost-effective
measures for mercury control will clean up local lakes and streams to
promote a healthy economy.
Reducing mercury emissions by 90% is achievable at reasonable cost .
Please approve this plan to protect ourfamilies and our wildlife from
unnecessary harm .
Thank you
.
