Dear
Ms. Gunn:
These comments are
in response to the
proposed Clean-up Part Ill Amendments
to 35111. Adm.
Code
Parts 211
218, and 219 that were published
in the May27,
2005 issue of the
Illinois Register.
The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association,
SC IA, representing the interests of the screen
printing industry and its associated
supplier base, offers the following comments
in support for the amendment
package.
The definitional text proposed for inclusion
in
new Section 211.5880, Screen
Printing on Paper, accurately describes the screen
printing process.
We concur
with the
response offered
by
the
IEPA at the hearing that the definition for
“screen printing on paper” would also apply
to screen
printing on plastic film and
foil. We also concur with
the inclusion of the notes contained
in Section
218.204(c) and the corresponding note
in Section 219.204(c).
If you
have any questions regarding our comments,
please feel free to contact
me directly at 703-359-1313 or by email
at marcik~sç~ia.orq.
