JOINT STATUS REPORT
Respondent Midwest Grain Products ofIllinois, Inc., pursuant to Hearing Officer Order
ofJune 8, 1999, and with the consent ofcounsel for the Complainant, hereby files the following
status report.
1.
The Complaint was filed in this case on April 7, 1997.
2.
On June 8, 1999, following a telephonic status conference, the Hearing Officer’
ordered that joint written status reports be filed on August 2, 1999 and October 1, 1999, followed
by a telephonic status conference on October 11, 1999.
3.
Midwest Grain continues to work with the Illinois EPA toward the issuance of a
PSD permit. Illinois EPA is currently re-evaluating the inventory for the area. Midwest Grain is
currently conducting air mOdeling. Following completion ofthis modelingMidwest Grain will
submit its completed PSD application to Illinois EPA for its review.
4.
The parties are continuing to make progress toward resolution ofthis matter~
