I am a lifelong resident of Kankakee County and have been very

involved in the landfill issues I live in Otto township and

have spoken to many of the residents in this area. What the

mayorlty tell me, they are opposed to the expansion for many

reasons They are about the health and welfare of their fainilys

Also of importance, only a few county board members favor it

The county planning and zoning group are looking intO alternate

solutions that can produce energy from garbage. This~ is a positive

solution I feel denying this appeal would make a ~i’g difference
