The Williams Park
ImprovementAssociation
had been
misinformed and hastily
withdrew its support of Jay Glenn
and now wishes to clarify its
position
on the Permit Appeal.
Jay Glenn does and
shall remain
the representative of the Williams Park
Improvement Association
in
this matter.

We
realize
that the flyer received

issued by Lake

Loretta Adams
Intergovernmental Agreement that the Illinois
Pollution Control
Board received
January 11, 2005.

Therefore
upon review of the

we find

best interest of the environment and our neighbors,
we wish to continue to

Special Meeting 03-1 3-05
Meeting called to order,
Mike Polito, President
in
the chair,
12:10 pm.
This meeting was called to discuss
the withdrawal from
the permit appeal
and the representation of Jay Glenn
on the Permit
appeal.
Jay Glenn
spoke about the permit
appeal and told us of the
(3) options that were presented as options for the Wauconda
Waste
Water Treatment Plant.
1.
Empty into Bangs
Lake.
Theydidn’t entertain
this idea because
it would degrade they’re water quality.
2.
-
Pipe straight to the
Fox River.
This wasn’t any better because
it just dumped the
pollution
into the Fox River
and degraded those waters,
and the Fox River
is considered drinking water for those neighbors downstream.
3.
Pipe
to the Regional Water Reclamation district
in Island Lake.
This we feel is the only real solution as then no
pollution
is pumped into Fiddle Creek, Slocum
Lake or the
Fox River.
And
the
most acceptable to the
residents,
but maybe a
little costly to install.
Jean Vanderhar called IKen. to speak- about the Permit Appeal- anrLsaid that the.y~haveagood.deal and they can take
Wauconda to Court if they don’t abide by the
Intergovernmental Agreement.
She also said that everyone else backed out
so we should.
In fact, not everyone agreed to the
Intergovernmental Agreement.
Wauconda’s word doesn’t
hold much weight when
it
conies to their past track record.
They are incapable of following through
with the
Court Order’s that have
been issued
against them
in
the
past, why would we expect them to follow through on their word.
Jay Glenn said the water samples were taken
from inside the
pipe, and this-is where the
pollution
is coming from.
Motion to
rescind the previous lettersent to the
Illinois
Pollution Control Board, withdrawing
from permit appeal, made by
Frank Bush,
2nd
by Loretta Adams.
(5 yes
—
4 no) Motion
passed
Mike Polito tried to submit (2) proxy votes.
Proxy voting
has never been
acceptable in
the
past, it shall
not be accepted
now.
Meeting Adjourned 1:40pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Loretta Adams
