    RE:
    Illinois Pollution Control Board 1~R04-22/23
    To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in reference to the Illinois Pollution Control Board #R04-22/23 proposing to
amend the illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Agency) Leaking Underground
Storage Tank (LUST) Regulations Part 732 and Part 734. I have worked with the Agency
    LUST Section for the last
    5.5
years as an environmental consultant and have a great
concern about the proposed amendments to the Regulations Part 732 and Part 734. My
main concern is how the new regulations could affect the potentially responsible parties I
representand the company that I work for, as well as myself.
In the past all the hearings have been held in Northern or Central Illinois. As a resident of
Southern Illinois I feel it is very important that the hearings are located throughout the
entire state. Therefore, I would like to respectfiully request that the new hearing be held in
Southern Illinois (Mt. Vernon, Carbondale or Marion) to provide optimum opportunity
for the residents ofSouthern illinois to participate in the rulemaking process.
Your time and consideration is greatly appreciated in this matter.
    Sincerely,
    Connie L. Connaway
