Re:
#R04-22/23
To Whom It May Concern:
This correspondence is in reference to the proposed amendments to Part 732 and
Part 734 Regulations. As an interested person, it is my opinion that the Pollution Control
Board (IPCB) should hold additional hearings regarding these proposed amendments. A
more objective approach to the regulations may be resolved if additional testimonials and
modifications are considered by the IPCB. As proposed, the amendments do not reflect
many of the concerns oftank owners, operators, contractors, and consultants.
Furthermore, it would be to the advantage ofSouthern Illinois citizens forhearings to be
held closer to Southern Illinois. All previous hearings have been held in Northern
Illinois, which disadvantages the opportunity for all illinois citizens to be involved in the
rulemaking process. I would like to respectively request a more central location for
future rulemaking hearings.
I appreciate your time and consideration in these matters.
Sincerely,
Mark Owens
