Proposed Amendments to Leaking Underground

Storage Tank Regulations: R04-22/23

Dear Clerk:

In regards to the above proposed amendments to Part 732 and 734 Regulations and the recent

Opinion and Order that has been passed by the Illinois Pollution Control Board, I respectfully request

that additional hearings be held in this matter and that the Illinois Pollution Control Board investigate

and hear all pertinent facts of all interested parties in the state.

I am employed by a Consultant/Contractor and I am an interested party in this rulemaking procedure. I

am also a lifelong resident of the Southern Illinois region and am concerned with the impact these new

regulations will have on the Owners/Operators of Leaking Underground Storage tanks in this area and

across the state.

In the past all hearings on these regulations have been held in northern and central Illinois and I would

like to respectfully request that this time at least one hearing be held in the southern portion of the state.

This would allow all concerned citizens the right to participate in this due process and voice their

concerns with the proposed regulations.
