Illinois Pollution Control Board #R04-22/23

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is in reference to the Illinois Pollution Control Board #R04-22/23 proposing to

amend the illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Agency) Leaking Underground

Storage Tank (LUST) Regulations Part 732 and Part 734. I have worked with the Agency

LUST Section for the last 6 years. I have a great concern about the proposed

amendments to the Regulations Part 732 and Part 734 and would like to request

additional hearings before the final decision and rules are set forth. However, in the past

all the hearings have been held in Northern or Central Illinois. As a resident of Southern

Illinois I feel it is very important that the hearings are located throughout the entire state.

Therefore, I would like to respectfully request that the new hearing be held in Southern

Illinois (Mt. Vernon, Carbondale or Marion) to provide optimum opportunity for the

residents of Southern Illinois to participate in the rulemaking process.
