To Whom It May Concern:

I understand that the First Opinion and Order from the Illinois Pollution Control Board

concerning proposed amendments to Parts 732 and 734 ofthe Regulations has been

published in the Illinois Register. I am very interested in the proposed new regulations

and the impact they mayhave on the correction ofenvironmental damage caused by

underground storage tank leaks and spills.

As an interested person, I respectfully askthat the Illinois Pollution Control Board

conduct additional hearings on these proposed amendments. It is my understanding that

all hearings to date on this matter have been held in the northern part of Illinois. I

respectfully further request that the hearings be held in the southern part ofthe state so

that citizens of Southern Illinois have an opportunity to learn about the impact the

proposed amendments may have on the environment, and have the chance to express

their opinions on the matter. I respectfully suggest Mt. Vernon as possible site, due to its

centralized location and location at the intersection of Interstates 57 and 64.
