    On November 8, 2004, the Board received a rulemaking proposal submitted by the
    Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Agency) that seeks to set
    Escherichia coli
    bacteria
    waterquality standards for Lake Michigan beaches and the Mississippi River.
    The Board
    accepted the proposal forhearing on December 16,
    2004.
    On February 17, 2005, a status conference was held in this matter.
    Stefanie Diers from
    the Agency appeared and requested that an additional status conference be held in March 2005.
    A status conference was scheduled for March
    15,
    2005, at 10:00 a.m.
