HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On January 10, 2005, a telephonic status conference was held. Respondent, City of
Waterman, Illinois (City), did not attend. The City was contacted later by the hearing officer and
informed the City of the proceedings. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s (Agency)
motion for an extension of time to file its response, filed January 3, 2005, was discussed. The
petitioner had no objection to the Agency’s motion. To that end, the motion was granted to the
extent that the Agency’s response is now due on or before January 28, 2005. Possible hearing
dates were likewise discussed. Tentative hearing dates were scheduled for March 8 and 9, 2005.
The parties or their legal representatives are directed to participate in a telephonic status
conference with the hearing officer on February 15, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. The telephonic status
conference must be initiated by the petitioner, but each party is nonetheless responsible for its
own appearance. At the status conference, the parties must be prepared to discuss the status of
the above-captioned matter and their readiness for hearing.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
