HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On September 30, 2004, all parties participated in a telephonic status conference with the
hearing officer. The complainant represented that the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency
is reviewing financial documents from the respondent that may reduce the penalty demand.
Respondent made an oral motion for an extension of time to file its answer. Complainant had no
objection. The respondent’s motion is granted and its answer is now due on or before
December 20, 2004.
The parties or their legal representatives are directed to participate in a telephonic status
conference with the hearing officer on November 18, 2004, at 11:45 a.m. The telephonic status
conference must be initiated by the complainant, but each party is nonetheless responsible for its
own appearance. At the status conference, the parties must be prepared to discuss the status of
the above-captioned matter and their readiness for hearing.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
