    HEARING OFFICER ORDER
     
    On August 3, 2004, the parties participated in a telephone status conference with the
    hearing officer. Although the Board ordered respondent to build a twelve foot noise barrier, the
    city ordinance prohibits fences taller than six foot; however, the city will allow a ten foot barrier
    in this instance. Complainants are satisfied with this compromise. The parties are meeting with
    city officials tonight to discuss when construction will begin. Respondent will file a status report
    by September 1, 2004.
     
    The parties are directed to participate in a telephone status conference with the hearing
    officer at 10:00 a.m. on September 14, 2004. The status conference shall be initiated by the
    complainants, but each party is responsible for its own appearance. At the status conference, the
    parties must be prepared to discuss the status of the above-captioned matter.
